Job summary

Qualifications

• MS or higher in engineering or applied physics with focus on heat transfer and fluid dynamics.
• 7+ years experience in a thermal analysis or thermo-physics role.
• Thermal FEA experience with STAR-CCM+, ANSYS, Icepak, or Flotherm.

Responsibilities

• Execute hand calculations, spreadsheet, and MATLAB/Python first-order models to inform path forward before detailed analysis.
• Develop CFD models and simulations to predict temperatures and heat transfer; correlate integrated FEMs for imaging platforms.
• Perform test-model correlation testing to validate analytical predictions.
• Collaborate with environmental test engineers for design, instrumentation, and data processing of tests to validate models.
