Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks a Staff Thermal Analysis Engineer to join our Linthicum, MD team. The role focuses on electronics thermal analysis and leading thermal designs across programs, including airborne and naval platforms.

You will perform expert thermal analyses, derive requirements, and present findings to customers and stakeholders while mentoring junior engineers. A DoD clearance is preferred and onsite work is required.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Must be able to work onsite daily at Linthicum, MD/Baltimore facility.
• 10 years of expertise in thermal engineering principles and applications.
• 10 years of demonstrated experience in electronics design, focusing on thermal analysis and optimization.
• 10 years of demonstrated ability to propose, win, and deliver on government contracts.

Responsibilities

• Perform electronics thermal analysis, requiring subject matter expert level experience in at least one thermal management technology.
• Lead thermal designs by owning thermal requirements derivation, thermal architecture, and thermal performance of the design, while mentoring less experienced thermal engineers.
• Provide oral and written presentations to internal and external customers and stakeholders.
• Opportunities to research and design advanced electronics thermal management solutions using heat transfer principles to meet optimal thermal performance.
