Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Linthicum, MD is seeking a Principal or Senior Principal Thermal Analysis Engineer to design and analyze advanced electronics thermal management for mission systems across airborne, ground, and naval platforms.

You will lead thermal designs, own requirements and architecture, mentor engineers, and present to internal and external customers. US citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance are required; onsite work daily at the Linthicum facility.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• The ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• The ability to work onsite daily at the Linthicum, MD/Baltimore facility.
• 3–6 years of electronics design with a focus on thermal analysis.
• 6 years of experience with design by analysis using finite volume or finite difference methods.
• Experience applying thermal engineering to convection and conduction problems.

Responsibilities

• Design advanced electronics thermal management solutions for mission systems.
• Lead thermal designs by owning requirements, architecture, and performance; mentor engineers.
• Provide oral and written presentations to customers and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure thermal integrity across platforms.
