Job summary

Benchmark Electronics Inc. is seeking a Test Operator to perform ICT and functional testing on systems, subassemblies, PCBs, and products using a range of test equipment and procedures.

The role emphasizes careful setup, data recording, and defect identification to ensure product quality. You will read schematics, operate testing rigs, and maintain test records while collaborating with a cross-functional team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 4+ years of advanced electronic test experience.
• Ability to use hand tools and basic test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscope, power supplies).
• Demonstrate basic knowledge operating DMMs to verify opens, shorts, resistance and diode checks.
• Ability to read schematics, drawings, assembly prints, procedures, specifications and other documentation.

Responsibilities

• Set up test equipment and understand test and assembly processes for boards and systems.
• Operate test equipment and record failure parameters into the Quality Management System (PFS).
• Identify components and read values of ICs, resistors, capacitors, etc.
• Inspect workmanship defects and apply appropriate markings per QA procedures.
• Configure and operate test equipment, interpret results, and contribute to test procedure improvements.
• Lead and mentor other Test Operators.
