Job summary

Benchmark in Winona, MN is hiring for a Test Operator who will perform ICT and functional testing on systems assemblies and PCBs using a range of test instruments. You will document results, interpret failure parameters, and maintain quality records while following IPC standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 4+ years in advanced electronic testing, plus ability to read schematics and operate typical lab equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 4+ years of advanced electronic testing experience.
• Able to use hand tools and general test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies).
• Able to read schematics, drawings, assembly prints, procedures, specifications and other docs for electronic assemblies.
• Demonstrate quality orientation and adherence to IPC standards.
• Willing to train on new equipment and cross-train into other site operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Sets up test equipment and understands test and assembly processes for each board or system tested.
• Operates test equipment and records failure parameters into the Quality Management System.
• Identifies components and reads values, resistors, capacitors, ICs.
• Identifies workmanship and material defects and tags accordingly.
• Follows procedures to adjust frequency/voltage and interpret readings against procedures.
• Maintains records of tested units and results using SPC charts.
• Configure and operate test equipment and relate results to PCD area to inspect defects.
• Lead and mentor other Test Operators and suggest test procedure improvements.
