Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a qualified Test Engineer to join the Alabama Test Operations maintenance team at Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL. You will develop maintenance plans, define requirements, and troubleshoot complex propulsion hardware to support engine testing and upgrades.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Experience in test, propulsion, or hardware-rich environments.
• Knowledge of high-pressure, cryogenic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to analyze data and recommend dispositions.
• Safe work around pressurized systems up to 6,000 PSIG.
• US citizenship or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Author maintenance instructions for test facility hardware.
• Define preventative maintenance and required support equipment.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Support functional testing of valves, regulators, and pumps.
• Coordinate with vendors for maintenance and repairs.
• Lead readiness reviews and risk assessments for safety.
• Develop training curricula for engineers and technicians.
• Support inventory management for spares.
