Job summary

Blue Origin in Huntsville, Alabama, is seeking a component test technician to help test a wide variety of articles for spaceflight programs. You will gain hands-on experience operating pneumatic, hydraulic, and cryogenic test systems and interface with engineering to improve throughput.

You will fabricate and modify test systems for program needs in a high-rate rocket engine environment. Responsibilities include set up, troubleshooting, and assembly of hardware for testing, with a focus on

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in aerospace manufacturing, integration, testing.
  • Experience with torque tools, drills, threaded inserts, and wrenches.
  • Ability to read drawings, schematics, P&ID.
  • Hands-on assembly, integration, test, troubleshooting, or validation across mechanical, electrical, and fluid systems.
  • Experience operating pressurized test systems and environmental test systems.
  • Proficiency with Windows and MS Office.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights.
  • Willing to travel to other Blue Origin locations.
  • Flexible schedule to meet engine deliveries.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate test equipment including vibration tables, thermal chambers, pressure instruments, water delivery systems, flow meters, and other test equipment.
  • Perform test troubleshooting, basic equipment maintenance, coordination with test engineers, and engagement with management on daily test activities.
  • Assemble hardware and production assets to support testing activities.
