Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an engineering professional to develop, operate, and maintain test facilities supporting liquid rocket engine programs at the 4670 test site. You will lead hands-on testing, data analysis, and project oversight to meet aggressive test cadences.

Candidates bring 2–3 years in rocket engine testing, strong dynamics/thermodynamics knowledge, and hands-on writing and communication skills. U.S. citizenship or eligible status and access to Redstone Arsenal are required.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in engineering or related field.
  • Strong background in fluid dynamics and thermodynamics.
  • 2–3 years of industry experience in rocket engine testing.
  • Ability to earn trust and maintain relationships with Redstone Arsenal access.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, construct, operate, and maintain test facilities for liquid rocket engines.
  • Generate and execute test procedures for high pressure gas systems and cryogenic fluids.
  • Review test data and assess facility health and performance.
  • Specify and procure components; manage vendors and subcontractors.
  • Plan facility maintenance and expand capabilities.
  • Contribute to schedule, cost, quality, and safety management.
  • Identify opportunities for safety improvements and cost savings.
