Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ seeks senior electrical engineers with strong testing and troubleshooting expertise for telemetry and power electronics. The role involves validating units, analyzing failures, and leading test campaigns from concept through integration to ensure specifications are met.

Candidates should hold a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with extensive experience in test equipment, CAN/UART interfaces, and power electronics. Relocation is eligible and a DoD Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s in Science Degree in Electrical Engineering and 8 years' experience, or a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and 5 years’ experience.
• Experience with prints, schematics, sketches, and test procedures.
• Experience troubleshooting circuit cards, at the component level.
• Background using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, or spectrum analyzers.

Responsibilities

• Working with a team of engineers performing electrical tests and troubleshooting on subassemblies, assemblies, and systems for conformance to specifications.
• Advanced understanding and ability to apply the theory of operation for the unit under test to enable determination of faulty product for design, workmanship, environmental and/or component defects on complex electronics.
• Work on systems validation, test and analysis while working through all phases of integration, and test validation activities within the Labs.
• Ensure customer success through the development and execution of innovative and comprehensive test, verification, and validation strategies, processes, tools and techniques.
