Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer to ensure mission-critical software is reliable, secure, and ready for national security operations. You will design automated UI tests with Playwright and API tests with Bruno or Postman, building scalable frameworks and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.

As a key member of an Agile Chinook program team, you will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with developers and stakeholders, and help improve testability to reduce manual regression.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required per contract.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in software test automation with emphasis on automated testing.
• Experience developing, executing, and maintaining automated UI tests using Playwright.
• Experience using Bruno and/or Postman to develop, execute, and validate API tests.
• Strong programming experience with TypeScript and/or JavaScript for test automation.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions).
• Experience with Agile SCRUM or similar methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright for web apps.
• Develop and maintain automated API tests using Bruno and/or Postman.
• Build scalable test automation frameworks for functional, integration, end-to-end, and regression tests.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and rapid feedback.
• Collaborate with Agile teams to define acceptance criteria and test scenarios.
• Mentor junior test engineers and promote quality engineering practices.
