Job summary

Leidos seeks a Senior Test Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts with Playwright and API tests using Bruno and Postman. You will integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with Agile teams to ensure robust test coverage across web applications and services.

Requirements include 8+ years in automation, TS/JS proficiency, and experience with REST APIs. DoD/IC program familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in software test automation.
• Hands-on in designing, executing, and maintaining automated UI tests with Playwright.
• Experience using Bruno and/or Postman to develop API tests.
• Strong programming experience with TypeScript and JavaScript for test automation.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions).
• Experience working on Agile teams using Scrum or similar methodologies.
• Experience with Git and source control.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, and JSON validation.
• US citizenship is required per contract.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright to validate web UI and workflows.
• Develop and maintain automated API tests using Bruno and/or Postman to validate RESTful services and data integrity.
• Build and enhance scalable test automation frameworks for functional, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and rapid feedback.
• Collaborate with Agile teams to define acceptance criteria and automate testing strategies in each sprint.
• Mentor junior test engineers and promote quality engineering practices.
