Leidos in Columbia, MD, is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain automated test solutions for REST APIs and UI. Hands-on with Linux, Python, and containerized tests in Docker/Podman, plus CI/CD with Jenkins and GitLab.

You will migrate legacy Robot Framework to modern platforms, write SQL validation steps, and improve test frameworks for reliability. The role requires TS/SCI with polygraph clearance and a track record in security-focused QA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 12+ years of experience or equivalent.
• Strong Linux and Bash scripting proficiency for large data sets.
• Advanced Python automation and Pytest-based testing experience.
• Docker/Podman experience for building containerized tests.
• Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD pipeline familiarity.
• REST API testing, including auth flows and error paths.
• Robot Framework UI testing with Selenium.
• Ability to architect a test automation harness for UI/API testing.
• SQL knowledge and experience with SQL Developer.
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test suites for APIs and web UI.
• Build a scalable test automation harness with CI/CD integration.
• Expand Python-based test automation using Pytest and fixtures.
• Create Docker/Podman images to run automation across environments.
• Integrate test execution into Jenkins and GitLab pipelines.
• Use Linx and Bash to parse and report on logs and test data.
• Support UI automation with Robot Framework and Selenium.
• Plan and migrate in-house tests from legacy Robot Framework to modern platforms.
• Write and integrate SQL queries in automated validation steps.
• Troubleshoot CI failures and improve test reliability.
