Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer to deliver mission-essential software for intelligence operations. You will design automated UI tests with Playwright and API tests with Bruno/Postman, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines and collaborating with Agile teams to ensure high-quality, secure software releases.

You will work on critical mission systems with Top Secret/SCI clearance requirements, mentoring junior engineers and shaping testing standards across the project.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands‑on experience in software test automation, quality engineering, or software development with a strong emphasis on automated testing.
• Demonstrated hands‑on experience developing, executing, and maintaining automated UI tests using Playwright.
• Practical experience using Bruno and/or Postman to develop, execute, and validate API tests.
• Strong programming experience with TypeScript and/or JavaScript for test automation development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain robust automated test scripts using Playwright to validate web application functionality and user workflows.
• Develop and maintain automated API tests using Bruno and/or Postman to validate RESTful services and data integrity.
• Build and enhance scalable test automation frameworks supporting functional, integration, end‑to‑end, smoke, and regression testing.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and rapid feedback.
• Collaborate with Agile teams to define acceptance criteria and implement automated testing strategies in each sprint.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test scripts from user stories and requirements.
