Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated tests for mission-critical software on the Chinook program. You will use Playwright for UI validation and Bruno/Postman for API tests, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines and collaborating with agile teams to ensure quality in fast-paced environments.

Active TS/SCI with polygraph is required. The role supports multiple locations including Gaithersburg, MD and Tucson, AZ, and emphasizes mentorship

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software test automation or related field.
• Hands‑on experience with Playwright for UI automation.
• Experience with Bruno and/or Postman for API testing.
• Strong programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.
• Develop automated API tests with Bruno and/or Postman.
• Build scalable test automation frameworks for multiple testing levels.
• Integrate test suites into CI/CD for continuous testing.
• Collaborate with Agile teams to define acceptance criteria and test strategies.
• Mentor junior test engineers and promote QA best practices.
