Job summary

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company is seeking a senior Territory Manager, Middle Market Business Development - Commercial Lines to market, manage and underwrite commercial business through select agencies in the Southern California territory.

The role requires strong underwriting authority, agency relationship skills and the ability to meet renewal and new business goals while working remotely with some travel.

Qualifications

• Multi-line commercial insurance underwriting experience with authority is required or preferred.
• Production & Agency Management orientation is desired.
• Existing agency/broker relationships in the territory are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Market Nationwide products to drive agency and company results.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with agencies, producers and key groups.
• Underwrite and price for complex or service sensitive accounts.
• Plan and coordinate new business, renewals, service plans and performance checkpoints.
• Monitor market conditions and risks to win accounts and meet goals.
• Lead agency reviews and drive profitability and pipeline management.
