Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• 1 to 3 years of teller experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong math ability and calculator skills.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service, acknowledges customers promptly, and accurately processes transactions.
• Processes a variety of transactions: cashing checks, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and change orders.
• Assists tellers with escalated transactions and provides overrides within limits.
• Researches outages and relays information to management and research department.
• Performs vault duties including coin/currency handling and balance verification.
• Responds to inquiries about bank products/services in person, by phone, or by mail.
• Offers notary services.
• May assist lead teller with reports and logs.
• Performs branch opening/closing duties and ensures security procedures.
• Opens new accounts and cross-sells products; assists customers in selecting options.
