Job summary

Renasant Bank is seeking a Senior Teller in a format that emphasizes accurate transaction processing and exceptional customer service. This role will act as the first point of contact, supporting sales opportunities while maintaining compliance with bank policies and procedures.

Senior Tellers will lead by example, back up the Head Teller, and help ensure branch operational excellence. The position requires a high school diploma and relevant experience in teller operations and customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year teller experience and/or previous cash handling experience preferred.
• 6 months of customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate with customers and identify opportunities to help customers with their financial needs by identifying cues and clues while processing their transaction.

• Mathematical skills suitable for counting cash and coin.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions effectively and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payoffs and draws, official checks, etc.
• Recognize/identify customer needs and refer customers for additional needs-based conversations.
• Execute the Renasant Bank service standards in every customer and teammate interaction.
• Address customer issues or refer to a branch teammate to resolve concerns.
• Maintain service knowledge in line with regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Perform daily operations including balancing, supplies ordering, ATM and vault balancing, and branch capture procedures.
• Follow compliance, risk, and operational procedures to protect the bank.
• Stay updated on policies and procedures related to Teller operations.
• Assist Head Teller with operational procedures and quarterly branch assessments.
• May coach and mentor teammates and serve as a role model in operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
