Job summary

Renasant Bank is seeking a Senior Teller to handle transactions, assist customers, and identify sales opportunities while adhering to bank policies and procedures. The role emphasizes accuracy, customer experience, and risk mitigation, serving as a key back-up to Head Teller.

Senior Tellers will lead by example in branch operations, maintain service standards, and support coaching and mentoring for teller staff. A strong focus on compliance and exceptional service is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year teller experience and/or previous cash handling experience preferred.
• 6 months of customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate with customers and identify opportunities while processing transactions.
• 10-Key skills.
• Mathematical skills to count cash/coin in fast-paced environment.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of and ability to learn bank products and solutions.
• Ability to travel for training, other development opportunities, and between branches, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions effectively and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payoffs and draws, official checks, etc.
• Recognize/identify all customer needs and refer customers for needs-based conversations.
• Execute the Renasant Bank service standards in every customer and teammate interaction.
• Address customer issues or refer to a branch teammate who can help.
• Maintain service knowledge standards with related regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Assist with daily operations: balancing, supplies ordering, ATM/vault balancing, branch capture procedures.
• Protect the bank by following compliance, risk, and operational procedures.
• Stay up-to-date on all Teller-related regulations and policies.
• Assist Head Teller with additional operational procedures and quarterly branch assessments.
• May assist with coaching/mentoring and serve as a role model in operations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
