Job summary

Banc of California is seeking a Senior Teller in California to deliver exceptional client service and handle routine and complex teller transactions. The role supports branch operations, maintains product knowledge, and helps deepen customer relationships while adhering to banking regulations.

You will process deposits, withdrawals, and other transactions, participate in cash management, and assist with new accounts and daily reports.

Qualifications

• In-depth background in Bank Secrecy Act compliance and general banking skills.
• 3+ years of retail banking experience.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations (Reg Z, Reg B, FHA, HMDA, RESPA, FCRA, BSA, CIP, RFPA, CRA).
• Excellent math skills; balance accounts; work with deposits, loans and services.
• Knowledge of bank deposits, lending products, and services to open accounts.
• Professional, helpful attitude with customers and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Process transactions accurately and efficiently (deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, ATM, night drop).
• Refer new products and services based on customers' financial goals.
• Answer questions and resolve customer concerns regarding bank services.
• Reconcile GL debits and credits for a location over a period.
• Vault and ATM balancing.
• Wire processing.
• Holds/Stop payments.
• Monthly certifications and account research.
• Review daily reports with Branch Management.
• Assist with new accounts back-up.
• Process and scan daily teller work.
• Audit peer transactions.
• Support branch goals and training of new staff.
• Follow policies and procedures.
