Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead Telemetry, Observability, and Platform Analytics for the PlayStation Portal (AOSP-based). You will define the telemetry strategy, build data collection frameworks, and empower data-driven decisions across engineering and leadership.

You will collaborate with QE, Security, and Infrastructure teams to improve platform performance, reliability, and user experience, using dashboards and real-time analytics to inform quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• -5+ years of Android native development experience with Java, Kotlin, and Android Studio.
• -Experience designing telemetry and observability systems.
• -Experience building metrics, monitoring, and analytics platforms.
• -Proficiency with performance tools (Android Studio Profiler, Perfetto, Systrace, atrace).
• -Experience building CI/CD pipelines and leading initiatives in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive telemetry architecture and strategy across the platform.
• 2. Establish KPIs for performance, stability, reliability, and security.
• 3. Design data models, collection mechanisms, and SDKs.
• 4. Build unified metrics, events, and traces pipelines.
• 5. Develop real-time and batch analytics platforms.
• 6. Create Platform Health Dashboards and reporting for leadership.
• 7. Integrate telemetry quality into CI/CD pipelines.
• 8. Collaborate with QE, Security, and Infra teams.
