Job summary

GCI, based in Alaska, seeks a Field Service Technician III to install, service, and troubleshoot Video, high-speed Data, and Voice services for residential and business customers. You will work from the tap to customer premises, using test equipment and following safety guidelines.

As part of a team, you’ll support senior technicians, mentor juniors, and maintain vehicle and tool readiness while delivering reliable, customer-focused telecom service in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years in broadband, data, networking, or technical telecom roles.
• Ability to interpret system design and maps; read/understand work orders.
• Willingness to travel and work in Arctic/Alaskan environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and troubleshoot video, voice, and data services from tap to customer premises.
• Use test equipment to measure signals and ensure quality; perform preventative maintenance.
• Support senior technicians and mentor junior staff; document work orders and safety procedures.
