Job summary

Safelite Group in Columbus, OH seeks a Senior Telecom Engineer to design, operate, and optimize enterprise telecom systems, including voice, contact center, and unified communications. You will lead platform engineering, vendor management, and on-call support to ensure reliability and scalable services.

The role focuses on cloud telephony migration, improved performance and security, incident response, and mentoring engineers, while collaborating with stakeholders to align telecom strategies

Qualifications

Broad experience leading enterprise telecom initiatives and teams.
Strong knowledge of voice, UC, and network technologies.
Experience with SIP/SBC and contact center architectures.
Proven ability to manage vendors and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering, configuration, and optimization of telecom platforms.
Partner with MSPs and vendors to ensure service quality and SLAs.
Develop and maintain telecom documentation and runbooks.
Collaborate on strategy, architecture, and incident response.
Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across teams.
