Job summary

Safelite seeks a Senior Telecom Engineer to design, operate, and optimize enterprise telecommunications systems, including migration to cloud-based telephony, improving reliability and secure communication across environments.

You will provide technical leadership for enterprise voice, contact center, carrier, and unified communications while partnering with stakeholders to drive innovation, operational excellence and service reliability.

Qualifications

Deep technical expertise in enterprise telecommunications, unified communications, contact center technologies, internet services, and networking environments.
Demonstrated experience leading telecom engineering within an enterprise environment.
Experience leading voice, SIP, SBC, carrier and contact center operations.
Experience with SIP trunks, SBCs and SIP-based voice architectures.

Responsibilities

Telecom Platform Engineering & Support: oversee voice infrastructure, IVR, and enterprise call routing.
Managed MSP partnerships: provide direction, oversee SLAs, and coordinate incident response.
Documentation & standards: develop scalable, maintainable docs for operations.
Telecom Strategy & Vendor Management: align initiatives with business goals and assess new technologies.
Operational Leadership: act as Tier 3 escalation, drive rapid resolution in 24x7 rotations.
