Job summary

IES is seeking a General Superintendent to lead large or complex projects, ensuring safety, quality, and financial performance. You will coordinate staff, subcontractors, and on-site operations to meet goals and deliverables.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, scheduling, and client communication skills, with extensive experience in telecommunications or related fields. On-site work and travel within branches are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years’ supervisory/managerial experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a Lead Communications Technician or similar position.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in telecommunications or related field.
• Proficient with computer and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).
• Must meet Company driving standards.
• Ability to define project scope, create estimates, develop tasks and manage to completion.
• Must be able to use trade tools listed in the job content.
• English language proficiency required for communication and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, manage and supervise project staff.
• Serve as senior liaison with customer representatives.
• Plan and monitor project profitability and budgets.
• Ensure deadlines meet customer requirements.
• Manage workload distribution and progress of installations.
• Review job cost postings and prepare invoices and reports.
• Complete project paperwork accurately and on time (timesheets, changes, etc.).
• Perform quality checks and safety inspections on site.
• Lead on-site meetings and training sessions.
