Job summary

TAK Broadband, LLC in Columbus, IN is seeking a Sr Construction Manager to lead and manage all aspects of utility construction for telecom projects. You will oversee site planning, scheduling, budgeting and resource allocation, and coordinate with contractors and suppliers to meet design specifications and safety standards.

This role requires extensive leadership experience, a construction background, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with a focus on quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of total relevant experience including supervisory/leadership roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
• OSHA 10 certification is a plus.
• Telecom construction knowledge: Coax/Fiber Splicing, Directional Drilling, map reading.
• Experience with aerial and underground construction and network inventory.
• Estimating, bidding, and change order preparation experience.
• Strong problem-solving and mentoring capabilities.
• Ability to learn new software and manage stress in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of utility construction for telecom projects.
• Oversee site planning, scheduling, budgeting and resource allocation.
• Supervise onsite construction activities; ensure design, codes and safety compliance.
• Conduct regular site inspections; identify issues and implement corrective actions.
• Manage relationships with external contractors, vendors and suppliers.
• Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation (reports, drawings, permits, change orders).
• Communicate status, milestones and budget considerations to stakeholders.
• Enforce best practices for quality control, safety and environmental compliance.
• Work a flexible schedule with varied hours; some evenings and weekends as needed.
