Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead multiple telecommunications infrastructure projects in Columbus, OH. You will direct construction operations, manage field teams, and maintain client relationships to ensure profitable and safe project delivery from planning through closeout.

You will oversee fiber optic, FTTH, aerial and underground builds, coordinate with engineering, permitting, and subcontractors, and drive efficiency while upholding high safety and quality

Qualifications

• 5+ years of telecommunications construction management experience.
• Experience managing large-scale fiber optic and OSP projects.
• Strong knowledge of Fiber Optic Networks, FTTH Deployments, OSP Construction, Aerial Construction, Underground Construction, Utility Coordination, Directional Drilling Operations.
• Experience supervising construction managers, field supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Knowledge of telecom construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.
• Strong budgeting, scheduling, and project management experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, engineering drawings, and specifications.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple telecom construction projects from pre-construction to project completion.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to customer specifications.
• Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Provide leadership to Construction Managers, Supervisors, Foremen, and field personnel.
