Job summary

TAK Broadband is seeking a Director of Construction to lead multi-state fiber construction operations from San Antonio, TX. You will oversee teams, budgets, and client relationships, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

The role requires strategic leadership, extensive field experience, and strong communication with executive leadership. The position offers full-time work with a comprehensive benefits package, and compensation in the $110K–$135K range, DOE.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in underground construction, aerial, coax and fiber.
• 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Ability to travel up to 50% annually.
• OSHA 20 certification preferred or able to obtain.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Provide daily management and strategic direction for multi-state projects and teams.
• Manage internal and external resources to meet deadlines and goals.
• Lead startup processes for new construction activities or regional acquisitions; assess risk and define scope, schedule, and budget.
• Visit project sites and collaborate with local leaders.
• Address supply chain issues with proactive solutions.
• Maintain top-level customer relationships and align with executives on budgets.
• Oversee department P&L and monthly/annual reporting; mentor staff.
• Promote safety as a core priority and ensure compliance with laws.
