Job summary

Plaid is seeking an experienced IT Operations Engineer to own and improve core infrastructure used by thousands of employees. You will manage a large macOS fleet, extend infrastructure as code, automate repetitive tasks, and enforce security with MFA and access reviews.

You will collaborate with Security, Engineering and GTM teams and contribute to a multi-quarter roadmap while staying on-call for a few hours weekly.

Qualifications

5+ years supporting a large fleet of macOS devices or equivalent.
Experience with mobile device management for Apple devices (Iru, Intune, Workspace One).
Configuration as code (e.g., Terraform) and scripting in Bash/Python.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor team members, unblock work, provide guidance.
Help build out the team roadmap and advocate for future work with plans.
Own and improve Okta configuration, lifecycle policies, access reviews, MFA enforcement.
Manage endpoint configuration via Iru/Kandji, prefer policy-as-code.
Build and maintain automation to reduce repetitive support tasks.
Evaluate, deploy and support AI tooling to boost productivity.
SaaS procurement/renewals for systems we own.
Own company-wide SaaS platforms (Google Workspace, Slack, Linear, Jira, etc.).
Support other Engineering, Security and GTM teams.
3 days a week in the office.
