Job summary

Plaid Inc in New York is seeking a TechOps IT Systems Engineer to own infrastructure and on-call rotation. You will automate configuration, secure endpoints, and implement AI tooling to boost productivity across the company. This role emphasizes infrastructure as code, policy-driven management, and cross-team collaboration.

The position requires experience managing macOS fleets, MDM, and SaaS platforms, with a strong security mindset and automation-first approach.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience supporting a large fleet of macOS devices.
• Experience with mobile device management for Apple devices such as Iru, Intune, or Workspace One.
• Experience with configuration as code, such as Terraform.
• Experience with Bash or Python scripting.
• Experience leveraging Claude Code, Codex, or similar tools to improve the quality and efficiency of the solutions you build.
• Experience using and managing major central business and development systems.
• Experience with Google Workspace.
• Experience with Slack.
• Experience with Linear, Jira, or other ticketing platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve Okta configuration, including lifecycle policies, access reviews, MFA enforcement, and Workflows automation
• Manage endpoint configuration via Iru or Kandji, with a preference for policy-as-code and version-controlled configurations
• Build and maintain automation that reduces repetitive support burden
• Evaluate, deploy, and support AI tooling that improves team and company productivity
• Manage SaaS procurement and renewals for the systems the team owns
• Actively own and support company-wide SaaS platforms such as Google Workspace, Linear, Slack, and Okta
• Partner with Engineering, Security, and GTM teams on planned work that crosses into the team's systems or areas of expertise
• Work from the office 3 days per week
