Job summary

Plaid's TechOps team owns the systems, tooling, and infrastructure that keep the company running and secure. This role focuses on on-call rotation, incident prevention, and delivering automated, code-based infrastructure for a thousand-person organization.

You will own macOS fleet management, manage Apple MDM (Iru, Intune, Workspace ONE), and lead configuration as code with Terraform, Bash, and Python. Collaboration with Security, Engineering, and GTM teams is essential, and a three-day

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting a large fleet of macOS devices.
• Mobile device management for Apple devices (Iru, Intune, Workspace ONE).
• configuration as code (Terraform).
• Advanced usage of bash/python or other languages.
• Leveraging Claude Code, Codex or other tools to improve quality and efficiency of solutions built.

Responsibilities

• Leading others on the team, unblocking others and providing some guidance and mentorship.
• Helping the team build out its roadmap, advocating for work that should be done in the future and backing it up with a plan.
• Owning and improving Okta configuration, lifecycle policies, access reviews, MFA enforcement, Workflows automation
• Managing endpoint configuration via Iru/Kandji, with a preference for policy-as-code and version-controlled configs
• Building and maintaining automation to reduce repetitive support burden
• Evaluating, deploying and supporting AI tooling to improve team and company productivity
• SaaS procurement/renewals for the systems we own
• Active ownership of many companywide SaaS platforms (Google Workspace, Linear, Slack, Okta etc.)
• Supporting other Eng, Security and GTM teams with planned work that crosses into the team boundary of the systems we support or our expertise.
• 3 days a week in the office
