Job summary

Truist seeks an Audit Manager to lead high-risk IT audit engagements across Consumer and Corporate portfolios. You will plan, scope, and execute IT audit programs focusing on application controls, data management, project implementations, and modernization efforts.

You will coach junior staff, deliver quality risk assessments and actionable remediation strategies, and interact with senior leaders to align with Truist's risk appetite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 6–8 years in banking, auditing, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of technology, cybersecurity, IT infrastructure and trends.
• Solid ITGCs/ITACs and SDLC understanding.
• Familiar with COSO, COBIT, NIST, SOX, PCI DSS.
• Experience across banking and financial services audit domains.
• Risk management concepts and processes.
• Analytical, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
• Root cause analysis and solution-oriented thinking.
• Proficient in written/verbal/negotiation skills.
• Proficient with MS Office and related tools.
• Strong project management and advisory capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Engagement Manager for high-risk IT audits and lead planning, risk assessment, scoping and execution.
• Lead audit strategy, risk coverage, monitoring, remediation validation and project oversight.
• Build relationships with senior leaders and act as SME in assigned domain.
• Set quality expectations per Truist standards and assess technology controls.
• Develop meaningful audit reports showing risks, root causes and remediation.
• Identify substantive issues beyond paperwork and propose solutions.
• Coach junior team members and promote strong audit execution and technical growth.
• Provide deep subject-matter support to business partnerships.
• Manage multiple audits and projects including systems implementations and changes.
• Operate independently with sound judgment in evolving tech environments.
• Navigate ambiguity and assess emerging risks with practical recommendations.
