Job summary

Biamp seeks an experienced Senior Technical Writer to craft clear, audience-focused documentation aligned with product releases. You will interview subject matter experts, analyze engineering materials, and translate complex concepts into usable guides and references.

You will manage documentation projects, collaborate across teams, and contribute to editorial reviews while staying current with industry tools and best practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of technical writing experience with ability to craft audience-tailored procedural and reference content.
• Expert information-gathering skills; interview SMEs and synthesize data from engineering docs, source materials, and hardware/software evaluations.
• Proficiency with authoring and design tools, including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), Microsoft Office, and CAD rendering software (SolidWorks Composer).
• Experience with content management and version control systems (SharePoint, Git, GitHub).

Responsibilities

• Create, edit, publish, and maintain high-quality, client-facing technical documentation aligned with product release schedules.
• Interview SMEs and translate complex concepts into clear documentation plans.
• Evaluate prototypes to ensure accurate product functionality and user workflows.
• Independently manage documentation projects, develop plans, and track status using Biamp project management tools.
• Collaborate with writers and editors in reviews and editorial processes.
