Job summary

Sanmina Corporation is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to transform complex engineering processes into clear manuals for storage servers, JBODs, and GPU platforms. You will partner with product and hardware teams to create, edit, and photograph operational documentation.

The role requires hands-on hardware experience, strong layout/photography skills, and a track record of mentoring junior writers. Candidates should bring 8+ years in technical writing and a portfolio of hardware documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent directly related experience.
• 8+ years of technical writing experience in electronics hardware.
• 5+ years as a technical writer in storage/high‑compute servers, JBODs, or GPU platforms.
• Hands-on with enterprise hardware and ability to photograph and edit images.
• Experience with FrameMaker, Illustrator, Photoshop or similar tools.
• Portfolio/samples of work showing visual layout and hardware photography skills required.

Responsibilities

• Content Creation & Design: create docs including user guides, specs, photos and manuals.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: coordinate meetings with engineering leaders to gather specs.
• Product Photography & Illustration: photograph hardware and create visual aids for docs.
• Hardware Proficiency: understand enterprise hardware architectures and procedures.
• Document Management: maintain the product documentation library and access control.
• Continuous Improvement: identify gaps and modernize formatting for usability.
• Training Leadership: develop training materials and track compliance matrices.
• Mentorship: guide junior writers and set documentation standards.
