Job summary

GoCanvas Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Technical Writer III to grow SiteDocs’ customer-facing documentation and public Help Center.

You will own documentation for product areas, investigate workflows, interview SMEs, and translate complex designs into clear, task-oriented content for users with varying technical backgrounds. You will partner with product, engineering, support, and other SMEs to support customer self-service, releases, and a redesigned Help Center launch.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of technical writing experience.
• Experience owning complex documentation projects or product areas in SaaS/software.
• Strong ability to plan, draft, and organize complex documentation for advanced product features.
• Proficiency with Help Authoring Tools such as Madcap Flare or RoboHelp, CMS, and version control workflows.
• Solid understanding and application of GoCanvas/SiteDocs style guidelines and industry style guides.
• Advanced research and interview skills with SMEs.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, balancing planned work with urgent releases.

Responsibilities

• Own documentation for one or more product domains, including planning, writing, and maintaining complex workflows and troubleshooting guides.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, designers, and support for upcoming releases and launches.
• Conduct SME interviews and product research to translate designs into user-focused content.
• Help define information architecture and modular content design for scalable Help Center.
• Audit content, identify gaps, and maintain a prioritized backlog.
• Assist in publishing documentation for redesigned public Help Center launch.
• Establish and implement documentation standards, templates, and publishing workflows.
