Job summary

Bailey Information Technology, LLC (BIT, LLC) is seeking a Technical Writer for the United States Capitol Police, Office of Information Services. The role requires on-site work with a portion telework after an acclimation period.

Core hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a minimum two on-site days per week. The Technical Writer will prepare, edit, and maintain technical documents, collaborate with SMEs to ensure accuracy, and manage document review and publishing workflows

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 5 years of technical writing and desktop publishing experience.
• Must be able to pass a criminal history check and fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, edit, and maintain technical documents such as manuals, guides, training materials, and reports.
• Work with subject matter experts to ensure documents are accurate and aligned with standards.
• Support document review, updates, and publishing processes.
• Interface with the Document Workflow System to ensure proper routing and sign-offs.
