Job summary

Terrestris seeks a Technical Writer for the US Capitol Police IRMD Support program, based in Washington, DC. The role is full-time with onsite work a minimum of two days per week and up to three days of telework after a two-month acclimation period.

You will prepare, edit, publish, and manage technical documents, coordinate with subject matter experts, and support review and publishing workflows. Applicants must pass a background check and be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required and 5+ years of technical writing experience.
  • Experience with desktop publishing and document management.
  • Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy.
  • Experience preparing manuals, guides, training materials, and reports.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, edit, and maintain technical documents such as manuals, guides, training materials, and reports.
  • Work with subject matter experts to ensure documents are accurate and align with standards.
  • Support document review, updates, and publishing processes.
  • Interface with the Document Workflow System to route, review, and sign off.
