Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) seeks an experienced Senior Technical Writer to provide consultative, analytical, and documentation support for a large Federal agency initiative. The role emphasizes drafting technical documentation, collaborating with project stakeholders, and SDLC governance in a government IT context.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of technical documentation experience, 3+ years in user documentation, and fluency with Agile methodologies.

Qualifications

• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• 5+ years experience developing technical documentation.
• 3+ years experience developing user documentation.
• Fluency with industry-standard technical summary and reporting techniques including Agile project management.
• Ability to produce quality work independently or in a group setting.
• Experience with MS Office Suite including Visio.

Responsibilities

• Draft and develop technical documentation for IT projects.
• Work with project stakeholders to establish technical processes and procedures.
• Document projects through the SDLC.
• Provide status reports for multiple ongoing projects and related documentation efforts.
• Assist with both user and admin level documentation.
