Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) seeks an experienced Senior Technical Writer to provide consultative, analytical, and documentation support for a large Federal agency initiative. The role requires strong writing, stakeholder collaboration, and SDLC documentation across IT projects.

The ideal candidate will create user and admin documentation, deliver status updates on multiple work streams, and thrive in a fast-paced government-focused environment with security screening requirements.

Qualifications

• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• 5+ years experience with development of technical documentation.
• 3+ years experience with development of user documentation.
• Fluency with industry standard technical summarization and reporting techniques including Agile.
• Ability to produce quality work independently or in a group setting.
• Experience with MS Office Suite including Visio.
• Willingness and ability to pass background check/security screening.

Responsibilities

• Draft and develop technical documentation for IT projects.
• Work with project stakeholders to establish technical processes and procedures.
• Document projects through the SDLC.
• Provide status reports for multiple ongoing projects and related documentation.
• Assist with both user and admin level documentation.
