Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Writer to provide consultative, analytical, and documentation support for a large Federal agency initiative. The role focuses on creating and maintaining technical documentation across IT projects and SDLC processes.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with stakeholders, produce user and admin documentation, and support multiple projects while passing background checks.

Qualifications

• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• 5+ years experience with development of technical documentation.
• 3+ years experience with development of user documentation.
• Fluency with industry standard technical summary and reporting techniques including Agile project management methodology.
• Ability to produce quality work independently or in a group setting.
• Experience with MS Office Suite including Visio.
• Willingness and ability to pass background check/security screening.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and development of technical documentation related to a variety of IT projects.
• Work closely with project stakeholders to establish technical processes and procedures.
• Document projects through the SDLC.
• Provide status reports for multiple ongoing projects and related documentation efforts.
• Assist with both user and admin level documentation.
