Job summary

CGS (Contact Government Services, LLC) is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Writer to provide consultative, analytical, and documentation support for a large Federal agency initiative. The role sits within the Technology Support department in Boston, MA, and requires collaboration with stakeholders to support government IT projects.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of technical documentation experience, 3+ years writing user docs, and a solid understanding of Agile processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience developing technical documentation.
• 3+ years experience developing user documentation.
• Fluency with Agile project management and reporting.
• Ability to work independently or in a group setting.
• Experience with MS Office Suite including Visio.
• Background check/security screening required.

Responsibilities

• Draft and develop technical documentation for IT-related projects.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to establish technical processes and procedures.
• Document projects through the SDLC and maintain artifacts.
• Provide status reports for multiple ongoing projects and documentation efforts.
• Assist with both user and admin level documentation.
