Job summary

CGS Federal seeks an experienced Senior Technical Writer to deliver consultative, analytical, and documentation support for a major federal agency initiative. You will craft technical documents across IT projects, support SDLC processes, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure clarity and accuracy.

The role requires strong writing and communication, familiarity with Agile methodologies, and the ability to produce quality work independently or in teams.

Qualifications

• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• 5+ years experience developing technical documentation.
• 3+ years experience developing user documentation.
• Fluency with industry-standard technical summary and reporting techniques including Agile.
• Ability to produce quality work independently or in a group.
• Experience with MS Office Suite including Visio.
• Willingness to pass background check/security screening.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and development of technical documentation related to IT projects.
• Work closely with project stakeholders to establish technical processes and procedures.
• Document projects through the SDLC.
• Provide status reports for multiple ongoing projects and related documentation efforts.
• Assist with both user and admin level documentation.
