Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Writer to provide consultative, analytical, and documentation support for a large Federal agency initiative. The role focuses on drafting and delivering technical documentation across IT projects and collaborating with stakeholders throughout the SDLC.

Ideal candidates have strong writing and communication skills, 5+ years in technical documentation, and 3+ years in user documentation, with familiarity in Agile

Qualifications

• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• 5+ years experience developing technical documentation.
• 3+ years experience developing user documentation.
• Fluency with Agile project management methodology.
• Ability to work independently or in a group setting.
• Experience with MS Office Suite including Visio.
• Willingness and ability to pass background check/security screening.

Responsibilities

• Draft and develop technical documentation for IT projects.
• Work with project stakeholders to establish technical processes and procedures.
• Document projects through the SDLC.
• Provide status reports for multiple ongoing projects and related documentation.
• Assist with both user and admin level documentation.
