Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Writer to provide consultative, analytical, and documentation support for a large Federal agency initiative. The role is full-time in the Technology Support department, requiring collaboration with project stakeholders and adherence to the SDLC.

You will produce high-quality technical documentation, user guides, and admin documentation, while assisting with status reporting across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• 5+ years experience with development of technical documentation.
• 3+ years experience with development of user documentation.
• Fluency with industry standard technical summary and reporting techniques including Agile project management methodology.
• Ability to produce quality work independently or in a group setting.
• Experience with MS Office Suite including Visio.
• Willingness and ability to pass background check/security screening.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and development of technical documentation related to a variety of IT projects.
• Work closely with project stakeholders to establish technical processes and procedures.
• Document projects through the SDLC.
• Provide status reports for multiple ongoing projects and related documentation efforts.
• Assist with both user and admin level documentation.
