Job summary

CGS seeks an experienced Senior Technical Writer to provide consultative, analytical, and documentation support for a major federal initiative. You will draft and maintain technical documents, work with project stakeholders to define processes, and document projects through the SDLC, ensuring clear status reports and user/admin guides.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in technical writing, strong writing ability, familiarity with Agile, and the capacity to pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• 5+ years experience developing technical documentation.
• 3+ years experience developing user documentation.
• Fluency with industry-standard technical summary and reporting techniques including Agile.
• Ability to produce quality work independently or in a group.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and development of technical documentation for IT projects.
• Work closely with project stakeholders to establish technical processes and procedures.
• Document projects through the SDLC.
• Provide status reports for multiple ongoing projects and related documentation efforts.
• Assist with both user and admin level documentation.
