This role focuses on producing clear, compliant documentation for IT systems and supporting information technology projects in a government-facing environment.

The ideal candidate has top-secret clearance, a strong technical writing background, and the ability to collaborate with developers, designers, PMs, and QA to deliver accurate documentation and

Qualifications

• Developing, editing, and producing technical and graphical documentation for information technology systems, to include SDDs.
• Experience creating training materials for government management.
• Coordinating communications between teams supporting applications user community.
• Planning structure and organization of technical documentation for usability.
• Creating outlines, templates, and style guides for consistency across docs.
• Collaborating with developers, designers, PMs, and QA to satisfy stakeholders.
• Experience troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Experience as an independent consultant.

Responsibilities

• Gather information from subject matter experts to develop manuals and documentation.
• Identify and revise documentation repositories; ensure centralized storage.
• Maintain information architecture templates meeting standards and data migration needs.
• Develop content in alternative media forms with a cohesive voice across docs.
• Ensure documents follow the organization’s style guide; maintain it if needed.
• Suggest revisions to the style guide when appropriate.
