Job summary

Xcel Energy provides specialized safety and technical training for transmission, covering substation, breaker, and relay topics. The role designs and develops training programs, policies, and procedures, and performs program management across projects and operations.

You will lead regional training staff, mentor teammates, and collaborate with energy operations leadership to drive continuous improvement in training effectiveness and deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in engineering or technical field.
• Eight years of progressive training experience; Journeyman preferred.
• Strong communication and adult learning skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Applies expert level knowledge to design, develop, implement, and evaluate training processes.
• Creates curriculum and oversees project management for training programs.
• Develops skills enhancement strategies to meet organizational goals.
• Directs regional training staff and mentors other team members.
• Works with leadership to drive change management across energy operations.
• Leads cross-functional training committees and manages apprentice programs.
