Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking a professional safety/technical training consultant to develop and maintain training materials and evaluate program impact across regions. The role may require extended time at customer sites and involves traveling up to 75% with the option to base in Amarillo, TX or Henderson, CO.

Responsibilities include designing instruments, evaluating trainee feedback, and coordinating apprenticeship programs while aligning with business processes and performance goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Education, or a related field is preferred.
• Five years of training experience or equivalent technical work experience is required.
• Strong communication and presentation skills are required.
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of adult learning principles.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to effectively use Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Utilize systematic approach to training to deliver effective training and manage records.
• Provide oversight for apprenticeship programs and instructional staff.
• Coordinate and apply business processes and project management in training.
• Consult with customers to identify needs and objectives for training services.
• Design and maintain testing instruments and evaluate training impact.
