Job summary

Altasciences is seeking a Senior Technical Specialist to serve as the technical SME for Sample Management. You will lead process improvements, collaborate with technicians, scientists, and IT, and implement automated solutions while ensuring quality and compliance.

You will monitor tasks, train staff on Watson LIMS and related software, and drive projects from planning through validation. Strong CRO/pharma experience and bilingual communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years CRO/Pharma experience in a regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of GLP/GCP requirements and documentation.
• Solid IT knowledge with ability to support laboratory IT tools.
• Experience with change management methodologies and project work.
• Excellent bilingual communication skills in French & English.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for lab processes.
• Programming skills (e.g., JavaScript, VB, SQL, HTML) advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day issue resolution for Sample Management systems and users.
• Lead projects, coordinate with technicians, scientists, and IT for improvements.
• Coordinate training and mentoring of staff on Watson LIMS and related tools.
• Identify requirements for new equipment or software and validate solutions.
• Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to deploy applications.
• Execute UATs, write SOPs, and create training guides for proper implementation.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, GLPs, and regulatory standards.
