Thermo Fisher Scientific in the United States is seeking a Senior SampleManager LIMS Implementation Engineer to lead configuration, implementation, and deployment of SampleManager solutions in laboratory environments.

The role emphasizes hands-on design, testing, data migration, and collaboration with architects and project teams to deliver scalable, maintainable systems that meet regulatory and validation requirements. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field.
• 7+ years implementing or supporting LIMS/informatics with hands-on experience.
• Strong SampleManager product knowledge and customization experience.
• Experience with system integrations and instrument integrations is highly desirable.
• Experience with relational databases and data migration is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Configure, implement, and deploy SampleManager LIMS across diverse labs.
• Serve as technical implementation expert for SampleManager solutions.
• Translate requirements into effective SampleManager configurations.
• Design lab workflows, master data, business rules, screens, and reports.
• Configure integrations between SampleManager, instruments, and ERP/other systems.
• Perform analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex config issues.
• Support data mapping, migration, validation, and testing activities.
• Produce technical and configuration documentation.
• Support upgrades, enhancements, and changes in customer environments.
• Estimate implementation activities, risks, and dependencies.
