Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT/CS.
• 5–7 years of software engineering with 4+ years in distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and AI/ML.
• Expertise in API management, microservices, and distributed architectures.
• Familiarity with Salesforce, ServiceNow, and data warehousing practices.
• Experience with data architecture and governance.

Responsibilities

• Own solution designs for medium-to-high complexity features.
• Produce and maintain architecture artifacts (HLDs, context diagrams).
• Evaluate latency and throughput trade-offs.
• Drive reference implementations and proof-of-concepts.
• Govern design reviews and track risks and decisions; establish enterprise standards.
• Curate an internal knowledge base of capabilities and interdependencies.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Technical Software Architect to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.
This role will shape solution architecture for medium-to-high complexity technology initiatives, with a strong focus on scalable distributed systems and enterprise standards. You will evaluate design trade-offs, guide reference implementations, and help ensure technical decisions support performance, reliability, and long-term maintainability. The position also partners closely with engineering and architecture stakeholders to document designs, manage risks, and strengthen the organization's internal technical knowledge.
Location: Remote
Compensation: $102,300 – $163,700 annually

Responsibilities

• Own solution designs for medium-to-high complexity features
• Produce and maintain architecture artifacts such as HLDs and context diagrams
• Evaluate design trade-offs related to latency and throughput
• Drive reference implementations and proof-of-concepts
• Govern design reviews and track technical risks and decisions Create and enforce enterprise architecture standards
